Don’t live in a fools Paradise , Most of your members still come to white Garment churches for miracles – Prophet Evans said to Pst.David Ibiyeomie
Prophet Gabriel Evans, a cleric in the Celestial church of Christ, criticized Pastor David Ibiyeomie for his recent comments about white garment churches.
The pastor of Salvation Ministries, in one of his preachings, had expressed his dislike for some of the practices of such churches, “one of the reasons I hate white garment churches is because they are very fetish. They write your name and deep it in to a gin(ogogoro) and begin to recite incantations”
This has prompted Evans into advising him against “living in a fool’s paradise”.
Evans argued that Ibiyeomie’s statement was not in line with Jesus’ message of love and that such language should not be used by a pastor.
He also cautioned against categorizing Pentecostal churches as fraudulent based on the actions of a few pastors.
“We see what you pentecostal churches do, we know what you do. But you can never see us categorizing all your members as the same ”
Evans added that founders of white garment churches are African and that the increasing influence of Pentecostal churches was an attempt at recolonization.
He concluded by highlighting that a significant number of Ibiyeomie’s church members had previously attended white garment churches and still do so for miracles.
