Three men identified as Abdullahi Alimi, Oladipupo Fagbe, and Rasaq Alimi have been remanded in Kirikiri Correctional Centre by an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court for alleged armed robbery.
The three defendants were not allowed to enter a plea to the charges, and the case file was sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions for advice.
The case has been adjourned until July 26 for DPP’s response.
The defendants who are facing a four-count charge, including robbery and receiving stolen property, allegedly committed the crimes with some other persons at large on April 13, at Ogba Road, Agege, Lagos.
During the incident, they allegedly took N20,000 from Musa Ganiyu and also stole 504 cartons of origin bitters, valued at N4.5 million.
The three men were also found to be in possession of five cartons of origin bitters worth N45,000, which were suspected to be stolen.
The offences contravened sections 411, 297, 287, and 329 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
