The National and State House of Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal Panel will today hold its inaugural sitting.
A total of 17 petitions, including one governorship and 16 House of Assembly petitions from different aggrieved contestants, within the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were received
The petitions were in respect of the outcome of the March 18, 2023 governorship and House of Assembly elections.
The All progressive Congress, APC has filed petitions for 10 House of Assembly seats in Shagari, Sokoto North, Tureta, Bodinga North, Tambuwal East, Gada, Silame, Goronyo, Isa, and Tambuwal West constituencies.
The state attorney -general and commissioner for justice, INEC resident electoral commissioner, director of DSS, the commissioner of police, APC and PDP state chairmen are expected to grace the inaugural sitting.
