Nigeria’s Flying Eagles have been drawn in a tough group in the coming FIFA Under 20 World Cup in Argentina.
According to the draw Nigeria will be struggling with Brazil, Italy, and Dominican Republic for the first two ticket in Group D.
The draw for this year’s tournament was held on Friday, 21 April in Zürich, Switzerland.
The Flying Eagles will open their campaign at the tournament against the Dominican Republic on May 21 before facing Italy on May 24.
They will end the group phase against five-time winners of the FIFA U-20 World Cup on May 27.
Senegal, who won the 2023 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, is in Group C with Japan, Israel, and Colombia.
Tunisia are drawn with Uruguay, Iraq, and England in Group E while Africa’s other representative, Gambia, will face France, South Korea and Honduras in Group F.
The top two teams of each group and the four best third-placed teams will advance to the round of sixteen.
The tournament will kick off on 20 May and the final will take place on 11 June 2023.
