One Daniel Oluwafeyiropo, a Lagos based Bishop of the iReign Christian Ministry, has been remanded in Kirikiri Correctional Centre, NewsSpecng learnt.
Bishop Feyi is facing a two count charge of rape involving two of his church members.
He allegedly committed the offences sometime in June 2020 on Ikota Villa Estate, Lekki, Lagos.
According to the prosecution, the alleged offence contravened Sections 260 (2) of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015
Oshodi admitted the defendant to N20 million bail with two sureties in like sum.
He stated that one of the sureties must be the owner of a build-up property in Lagos State, with a value sufficient to cover the bail amount.
“The original document of the landed property must be submitted to the chief registrar of Lagos State”
The judge also ordered the defendant to deposit his international passport with the court’s chief registrar and accelerated the case’s hearing.
Oshodi adjourned the case until May 9 for trial.
