Naira scarcity has recorded it first casualty as a yet to be identified man slumped and died at a bank in Agbor, Delta State.
The man slumped after standing in a queue for several hours.
The incident, NewsSpecng learnt occurred on Thursday at a bank in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State.
The customer was said to have slumped and died after waiting for long hours to collect his Automated Teller Machine (ATM) card at the bank.
Delta Police spokesman DSP Bright Edafe, confirmed the incident.
He however said that the man was at the bank to collect his ATM card and not for cash.
He said: “He was not trying to withdraw cash; he came to collect his ATM card.”
One Omole Mike, who shared a photo of the deceased on Facebook wrote: “Just now, at about 1:30 pm. Somebody collapsed and died in one of the first generation bank with Agbor. The Date is on 02-02-2023. May his Soul Rest in Peace. It is well?”
