Non-Governmental Organisations in the country have queried government responses to Covid-19.
The various groups all agreed that the Government didn’t do a thorough work in the distribution of palliatives.
They also pointed out at a workshop organised by the Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD) that Civil Society Organisations were not carried along properly.
The NGOs also said that COVID-19 certificates were issued to people who did not take vaccines.
CDD is interrogating the allegations surrounding the Nigerian government’s responses to COVID-19-related responses.
Several NGOs were at attendance at the workshop on Wednesday to discuss their views and opinions about how COVID-19 was handled by the government.
The research focused on identifying the judicious distribution of palliative measures and also looked more at the allegations surrounding corruption in the COVID-19 vaccine distribution process.
The research also looked at accusations that COVID vaccination pass were given to citizens who had not been vaccinated.
The focus group engagement continues tomorrow, Thursday 25 January.
