The Vice President of The Gambia, Badara Alieu Joof is dead.
The sad news was disclosed by his principal, President Adama Barrow, in a tweet.
Borrow announced that the tragic incident happened in India.
He was said to have died after a short illness. He was suspected to have gone to India for medical attention.
The president tweeted, “Fellow #Gambians, it is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing away of my #VicePresident, His Excellency, Badara Alieu Joof. The sad event took place in India after a short illness. May Allah grant him Jannahtul Firdawsi.”
