568 APC members decamp to PDP in Kuje

Over five hundred and sixty eight members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Tuesday, decamped to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Kuje Area Council, FCT.

The APC decampees who decamped from four wards namely; Rubocchi, Chibiri, Kuje Central and Gaube ward were received at the PDP Secretariat in Kuje

The APC decampees denounced their membership cards, brooms and posters in replacement for the umbrella of the PDP.

Hon. Abila Sarkin-Yaki, the leader of the decampees, in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) said they were dissatisfied by the approach of APC policies.

According to him, the decampees pulled out from APC by him, decided to join the PDP to contribute to the development of Kuje Area Council.

“Our stay in APC has not been encouraging and APC policies and approach has not encouraged democracy and governance in Kuje area council.

“With the crowd and followers I have behind me, I will ensure that PDP wins the Chairmanship elections in Kuje Area Council.

“APC does not have Nigerians at heart and they have no vision and policies to move Nigeria to the next level, ” he said.

Alhaji Mohammed Ismaila, the PDP Chairman of Kuje Area Council, receiving the decampees said more decampees were still coming to the party for its development and that of Kuje Area Council.

Ismaila said that PDP would clinch the chairmanship position come February 2022 in Kuje Area Council for the development of the area and the country. (NAN)
