Akwa Ibom Governor, Udom Emmanuel, has described gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey as the state’s export to the music world.
The governor spoke in a congratulatory message to the singer on his 40th birthday on Saturday.
The message states, “Nathaniel Bassey has been described as Akwa Ibom’s proud export to the global Christian community, who has made tremendous impact.
“This assertion was made by the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency, Mr. Udom Emmanuel at the 40th birthday celebration of Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, held at Redeemed Christian Church of God, King’s Court, Victoria Island, Lagos.
“Governor Emmanuel eulogised the music minister and appreciated him for being a good example to the young people and a blessing across the generations .
“The Governor was accompanied by the Elder Ben Udobia(DG Divine Mandate), Rt. Hon. Francis Charles (Member, House of Representatives ), Rt. Hon. Udo Kieran Akpan, Rt. Hon. Aniekan Uko,Rt. Hon. Aniefiok Dennis, Rt. Hon. David Lawrence ( Members of the State House of Assembly), Akparawa Ephraim Inyangeyen(Chief of Staff to the Governor ).
