Lawyer facilitates parcel of land to Nigeria Police in FCT community

The Vice Chairman, NBA Gwagwalada Branch and Head, Human Rights Committee of the Branch, Barr. David E. Aigbefoh has facilitated a parcel of land at Tungan Maje Community in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja to the Nigeria Police.

The land was handed over during a brief ceremony to the Representatives of the FCT Police Command on thursday, 27th of May, 2021.

Speaking during the Inspection of the land ,Superintendent of Police and Officer in Charge of Works, Mr. Haruna who led two other senior police officers expressed satisfaction over the land and promised to hit the ground running, by providing the prototype of a Divisional Police Headquarters building by Tuesday next week.

Stating that this will greatly enhance security of life and property in Tungan Maje and environs.He went further to thank and commend Barr.David E. Aigbefoh and the Community for this extra ordinary humanitarian gesture.

In his remarks,the Chief of Tungan Maje on behalf of other members of his traditional cabinet and the entire members of Tunga Maje Community, further commended Barr. David E. Aigbefoh for spearheading such a project, saying that only the Almighty God would bless him for this unforgettable humanitarian service to Tungan Maje Community.

Barr.David E. Aigbefoh who was recently eulogized for exhibiting courage and gallantry by confronting and repelling suspected armed kidnappers in the area, said he believes that to have a crime free society, all hands must be on deck to assist the security agencies wage war successfully against all forms of criminality.

Stating that criminals should never be given the chance to take advantage of any lacuna in the security nomenclature to terrorise any community.

He also noted that in recent times, leadership of the Nigeria Police has been laying more emphasis on community policing which according to him, promotes better relationship between members of a community and the Nigeria Police towards combating crime in every nook and corner of the society. (NAN)
