Dr Doyin Okupe, a presidential candidate endorsed by the Noble Youths Mass Support Association (NYMSA) for 2023 general elections in the country at the weekend gave a Sallah package to the NYMSA executives.
The package undisclosed by the groups National Coordinator, Hon. Godwin Omonya, said the donation was part of the Presidential candidates gesture to encourage the NYMSA.
Okupe charged Nigerians to use the Sallah period for sober reflection on the state of the nation.
While congratulating the Muslim Ummah for successful completion of this year’s Ramadan fast, one of the Five Pillars of Islam, he urged them to remember that moderation was important in everything.
“Ramadan is a month of sacrifice, abstinence and above all, love and care for humanity. I encourage you all to be your brother’s keeper.
“Look out for your neighbour in the firm belief that he or she too will look out for you; and most importantly always use your face masks while going out to contain the spread of COVID-19 disease.
“As you celebrate Eid-el-fitr, I urge everyone, regardless of religious belief to continue to keep the peace and to live in unity with one another in Nigeria,” he said.
Godwin Onmonya explained that the group endorsed Okupe as its own preference of presidential candidate because he is a reliable and credible choice for the Presidential race.
He described Dr Okupe as a God-sent, adding that he was capable of turning around the country’s economy, employment for the youths, Agricultural innovation and protection of lives and property.
According to him, Okupe will create the enabling environment for businesses to thrive, restore respect for the rule of law and job upportunities for the development of the country.
