The Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Ms Hadiza Bala-Usman has been suspended by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Executive Director, Finance and Administration of the agency, Mr Mohammed Bello-Koko, has been appointed as the Acting Managing Director of the Authority.
Hadiza, was recently re-appointed for second term.
The reason for her suspension was still hazy but NewsSpecng gathered that it may be due to some infractions.
The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi is expected to brief the press on the suspension on Friday in Jos.
Amaechi is in Jos alongside members of the management of the Ministry for a programme.
Our sources in the presidency who confirmed the suspension, said Bala-Usman was suspended but the Ministry of Transportation will give the circumstances behind her removal on Friday.
