The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has provided leads on how best to ensure a safe NIN registration exercise.
The NCC said applicants should endeavour to use one of the over 200 licensed Enrollment Centres and Agencies available to avoid large crowds.
The Telecom regulator also warned that Covid–19 protocol must be observed at all registration centres including wearing of mask, adhering to social distance while on queue and also the use of hand sanitizer.
The Federal government has extended the NIN-sim linkage till May 2021.
This is as the government also lifted the suspension on new sim card registration.
