The Nigerian Communication Commisssion, NCC on Monday said it has commenced the operation of 19 Emergency Communication Centres, ECC for the security of lives and properties in Nigeria.
The commission made this known through its Director, Special Duties, Oluwaseun Asaju.
Asaju in NCC verified twitter handle said the purpose of the ECC is to provide quick response to emergency calls from Nigerians in order to save lives and properties.
He said “The ECCs is to provide and harmonise the platform which is connected to the communication network where all citizens of Nigeria can access through their mobile phone.
“The purpose is to ensure that Nigerians dial the 112 number for quick response to save lives and properties.”
