A woman in her 30s, Blessing Jimoh, has landed in police custody for allegedly killing her mother.
According to Jimoh, she killed her mother, Ijeoma Odo, with a cutlass after a Pastor said her mother was a witch.
Blessing, a mother of four who committed the crime while they were working at the farm Ile-Iluji area was arrested by the Ondo State Police Command.
She claimed to be mentally unstable when she committed the crime.
“It was something doing me that make me kill my mother. I am not happy with what I did.
“I cut her neck with a cutlass. It was a Pastor that said she was witch and l went to beg her. My mother is from Enugu State. We have been looking for the Pastor but we have not seen him,” she said.
Ondo Police Commissioner, Bolaji Salami, said the suspect would soon be charged to court.
