Ibrahim Auta has strongly pleaded for a second chance from his wife, Falamata Galangi who dragged him to the Upper Area Court, Kubwa, Abuja over the issue of marital abandonment.
Galangi prayed the court to dissolve their marriage on grounds that she no longer have feelings for him.
Auta on Thursday pleaded profusely with the wife to reconsider her stand and stay with him for the sake of love.
The man who spoke admist tears, said he was sorry for the past pains he might have inflicted on her.
He said, “she should reconsider and I apologise for whatever wrong have done to her and at the same time, I am assuring that things will not be the way it use to be.”
Auta said since inception of their marriage, there has never been any time a third party ever called them for reconciliation. He therefore appealed in the presence of the judge, Hon. Bashir Danmaisule who presided over the case that “if she gives me a chance and if things does not change, we will come back here and take any necessary action against me.
“I still love my family and I don’t want it divided.”
But the woman stuck to her guns, even after watching her husband sobbing and pleading in the court.
Galangi simply said she does not agree with this second chance plead as she is ready to redeem herself from the marriage.
Hon. Danmaisule adjourned the case to January 13th, 2021 for both parties to bring their representatives to testify.
