… Approves expulsion of Hilliard Etta from party
The National Executive Committee NEC of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended the tenure of the Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) for another six months.
The NEC, which had President Muhammadu Buhari in attendance, also approved the dissolution of party organs from the smallest organ at the ward to national offices.
The decision was reached at the NEC meeting of the ruling party and disclosed to State House Correspondents by governors Nasir El-Rufai (Kaduna), Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo), Hope Uzodinma (Imo), and Secretary of the CECPC, Sen. John James Akpanudoedehe.
Other resolutions unanimously reached include approval of the expulsion of the former National Vice Chairman of the party, South-South, Hillard Etta, for violating NEC instruction.
It also condemned the call by the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the impeachment of President Buhari.
