Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Lagos State Chapter, has noted that public schools are doing better in the state than private schools.
This was disclosed at a meeting between a delegation of NUT (Lagos State Chapter) and Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO Nigerians in Diaspora Commission in Abuja.
Mr. Adesegun Rahaam who spoke on behalf of the delegation, said during the lockdown, education sector wasn’t locked down in Lagos state.
Raheem stated that the public schools in Lagos state are even doing better than the private schools as they have scheduled trainings, e-lessons to prepare students up to JAMB level and other interactive lessons.
He advised other states in the country to incorporate what Lagos state is doing as this will move education in Nigeria to greater heights.
He said that the Government of Lagos state is doing well with education especially in areas of trainings both nationally and internationally.
He appreciated Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa by extolling her virtues and contribution to Education sector.
“You are a role model, just as Lagos State Government is doing very well in the sector of education by training teachers and equipping them with facilities”, he said.
